Wandering at Power Plant Makati

Just when I thought there’s no more free stuff inside malls. I stopped by Team Manila’s branch at Rockwell and look what I got, a yocard postcard.

The next is worth posting. Click the back part of the second post card to read the details of World Vision charity project. If you are generous enough and interested in helping a Filipino child, contact World Vision now. It’s the best Christmas gift you can give to the less fortunate children.

October a year ago, a warning over a possible terrorist attack circulated through e-mail and text.

Wag muna kayo punta megamall..naaalala mo pa ba si janet na pinsan ni jude? pulis sya na naka-assign sa crame ngayon. Tumawag sya sakin kanina to inform me na, may nahuli daw silang abusayyaf ngayon and wala yata silang balak i-news sa tv baka matiktikan ng iba pang abusayyaf. Nag-surrender daw sa kanila ito tapos sinabi nya lahat ng plano nila. Sa Oct 21 daw pasasabugin ng abusayyaf ang megamall. Kaya ngayon red alert daw sila.

This forwarded e-mail turned out to be a false alarm after police roamed the specified place.

At 1:30 p.m. of October 19, 2007 (Philippine time), an explosion coming from a storage room of a restaurant shocked the people inside Glorietta 2 in Ayala, Makati City. As of 2:40 a.m., nine casualties and at least 119 injured were reported (inquirer.net).

It was earlier speculated that an LPG tank of the restaurant may have triggered the blast. But policemen are still investigating on what could be the real cause of the incident.
